Jivas Konos Desserts is a cozy espresso and dessert shop located in Attleboro at 494 Pleasant Street. Our business model is “in person.” We do not take phone orders. We want to build community and talk face to face with everyone.

Our space is perfect for reading your book or working on your laptop.

We make delicious desserts that change often and brew real espresso coffee drinks to order! We even have affogato! (Not sure what affogato is? Come find out!). Come sit and relax in our leather seating or enjoy a treat at the live-edge bar table. Hang out with friends or use our free WiFi for your work or pleasure. Custom cakes made for you with minimum one week notice. Come in and speak with one of our bakers to discuss your cake needs.

We serve ice cream!! Come in and grab a cone or a sundae and sit in our outdoor seating and enjoy the sunshine.

We serve breakfast sandwiches until 1pm.

  1. The BEAST: Two eggs, choice of meat, choice of cheese, fig jam, on croissant or challah bun.
  2. Balfour: Fig jam and goat cheese on croissant or challah bun.
  3. Layla’s B&B: Bacon, candied, & Boursin cheese, on croissant or challah bun.
  4. The Jewelry Box: One egg, choice meat, choice cheese, sandwiched between two hash brown patties.
  5. Capron: One egg, choice meat, choice cheese, on croissant or challah bun.
  6. Hebron: One egg, choice meat, choice cheese, hash brown, hot honey, on croissant or challah bun.
  7. Brigg’s Pig: Ham & Swiss on croissant or challah bun.

Meet Chef Scott Varner

For as long as I can remember, I have been cooking. At twelve years old, I started baking in our family kitchen in Hyde Park, MA making brownies, cookies, and cakes for family and friends. Everyone loved them, and I especially enjoyed showing how my treats were created just for them. Later, I put my love of dessert-making to work as an instructor of culinary arts in Maine, where I enjoyed teaching people from as young as 18 to 70 years old how to make delicious desserts of their own. I have been in the hospitality industry for decades. Bartending, short order cook, bar-restaurant manager, caterer, private chef. Now, I offer my delicious treats through my storefront in Attleboro. This eclectic coffee and dessert spot is a great place to sit and relax in comfortable leather seating, work on your laptop, and enjoy an espresso and a homemade dessert treat. As time goes on, I will be offering small baking classes in shop. Have an evening out and learn how to make some scrumptious desserts!

Now, there is no comparison to desserts found in corporate big box stores and supermarkets. We use the freshest ingredients and limit the shelf life.

It is just me and my small staff making your desserts, so it is like you have your own private chefs!

What’s in a name?

Many of my customers ask where the name Jivas Konos comes from. The short answer is it is a fictitious made-up name! When we were young, one day my sister and I decided to make up our own names. As children often do, we were acting silly and I said “my name is Jivas Konos!” From there, the rest is history!
